“The Earth Is Flat” – a theory that lacks any serious credibility and is distracting to the big picture.
Their intentions are good; they usually believe in the bible as revelation from God. But they get distracted by an inappropriate literalism with scripture in many areas where it was never intended to be taken seriously. In doing so, they get side-tracked into a world view that, while not necessarily too distracting from the big picture of what is going on in the grand scheme of things, nonetheless leaves everyone who holds to this view lacking any credibility with the very people they are trying to reach with the gospel.
