Poll: Americans Far More Worried About Bidenflation Than Climate Change

Climate change gets all the attention but Americans are far more worried about inflation, crime, illegal immigration, and the federal deficit. [emphasis, links added]

Thoughts

I’m NOT A Liberal

I have to chuckle at how badly people can take something you say and mangle it beyond recognition. I recently had occasion to be a “victim” of misunderstanding on a recent post I wrote as a guest-blogger on another site. I wouldn’t have even written this post, perhaps, except an article that I wrote for Eagle Rising got over 13,000 shares on Facebook. And so, it seemed perhaps I should take some of the comments into consideration here and respond.

I’m NOT a liberal, no matter what they say…

The post basically was an opinion piece, stating that Donald Trump is saying some things that the public connects with, and that we really do need to consider some of his points – especially when it comes to things like immigration and border security.

Besides, for all his failings, Trump’s stunning popularity is not merely because of his “showman” personality. He is popular because he is saying what a lot of people on the street believe is true. He is saying what the career politicians seem reluctant to say, and what the media seems to avoid like the plague (perhaps, because much of the senior staff in the media are married to staffers or are former staffers themselves). People are tired of the constant race-baiting from the current administration – the double-standards about white-on-black crime vs. black-on-white crime and the like. People are tired of the constant pandering to special interest groups. Yes, I do believe this is it.

And I might have to go so far as to say I agree with Trump when he says we should build a wall.

I often say it’s everybody’s lot in life to be misunderstood once in a while. And I suppose, if I think about it, maybe the misunderstanding is partly my fault. But if people were paying attention to what I actually said, they would have realized that some of the accusations they made were kind of baseless. But once someone calls me a liberal, they’ve hit below the belt. So let’s clear this up once and for all:

I’m NOT A Liberal

This isn’t so much about defending myself or clearing my name as it is a concern that some stupid comments were made, and I’d hate to think that people can get away with not thinking clearly. Some of these comments betray either a lack of clear thinking or a short attention span (or both). And I like the idea of thinking CLEARLY. Check my web site and you’ll see that thinking CLEARLY is what that is all about.

The article was about Donald Trump’s stance on building a wall along the Mexican border. Now, I don’t REALLY think the U.S. should build a wall, necessarily. Not a REAL wall. The idea is good in theory; but there are tunnels, too. And a wall would be so blasted expensive. The POINT is that the southern border needs to be a lot less porous. And I think THAT is a great idea to implement. And not even for the illegal Mexicans coming in so much as for the radicals that are coming across the border every day and night. THEY have plans to harm us. That is a bad thing. In case you were not aware of a recent interview between Greta Van Susteren and Representative Duncan Hunter, it went like this:

Van Susteren: Hold on. Stop for one second.

Hunter: They are going to be bombing American cities coming across from Mexico.

Van Susteren: Let me ask a question. You say that they are coming in the southern border, which changes all the dynamics Do you have any information that they are coming in through the southern border now?

Hunter: Yes.

Van Susteren: Tell me what you know.

Hunter: At least ten ISIS fighters have been caught coming across the border in Texas.

Van Susteren: How do you know that?

Hunter: Because I’ve asked the border patrol, Greta.

Van Susteren: And the border patrol just let’s ISIS members come across the border?

Hunter: No. They caught them at the border. Therefore, we know that ISIS is coming across the border. If they catch five or ten of them, you know that there are going to be dozens more that did not get caught by the border patrol. That’s how you know. That’s where we are at risk here, is from ISIS and radical Islamists coming across the border. Once again, they don’t have a navy, air force, nuclear weapons. The only way that Americans are going to be harmed by radical Islam — Chairman Dempsey said the same thing. He said that’s where the major threat is here, that’s how these guys are going to infiltrate through America and harm Americans.

Ya know, most of the stuff that the politicians promise when they’re debating is stuff I seriously can’t see they have power to enforce. The fact is, though, that one thing the president has is the ability to affect the frame and the tone of the debate. And we sure do need to be talking about this. These people are not a “J V” team.

I’M NOT A LIBERAL. REALLY. For the record, let me state my positions on a few key points. And after that, if you STILL want to insist I’m a liberal because you MISUNDERSTOOD what I said, you’re still entitled to be wrong; but you’ll have to live with that.

FOR THE RECORD:

I’M PRO-LIFE: the woman’s right to choose ends with the baby’s right to live. Period. Look, I realize there are (relatively rare) cases of rape and incest; but two wrongs don’t make a right. And we, as a society, have probably fallen down badly when it comes to making a place for these little ones when they show up, and showing love, support and compassion for the mothers who carry them to term. But killing them is not the answer. For the record, I will say that I think abortion done for the profit of the clinic is one of the biggest abuses of women going, all in the name of “helping” them. It just exchanges one problem for another.

I’M PRO-2ND AMENDMENT: I don’t pack a pistol, and don’t have any intent to do so. In fact, where I live, it’s illegal right now anyway. But I’m thinking about how the idea is appealing with all of the nonsense that the government is pulling lately. Look. I realize that letting everyone carry one is letting the criminals have them too. But they have them anyway. (I know, I know, it’s a weak argument… maybe. But access to arms doesn’t translate into crime by itself. Lawlessness does. If you have a lawless society because of an unrealistic sense of entitlement, THAT might be the biggest contributor to the gun violence problem. And THAT is taken care of as a byproduct of a good spiritual revival.) Guns are hard to come by in Mexico; they are easily obtained in Switzerland, and nobody gets hurt. And the 2nd amendment is to protect people from an overreaching GOVERNMENT. You’ve got an overreaching government NOW.

I’M PRO-REPBULICAN: Jeez, Louise, when I said I was an “undecided voter,” it DIDN’T mean that I was torn about whether, given an opportunity, I would vote REPUBLICAN or DEMOCRAP. FOR CRYIN’ OUT LOUD. In the context, the remark was about not knowing whether Trump or Cruz would ultimately be the better candidate to DEFEAT Hillary. The WHOLE POINT is that either one is a whole lot better than HILLARY. My concern was about which one could do it. (Read the article again, if you missed that, ok? For your own good.)

By the way, on the Trump vs Cruz gig, you have the added benefit with Trump that he’s already said if he’s elected, he will prosecute Hillary. That’s gotta be worth something right there.

I’M PRO BORDER SECURITY: NO deals on illegals, ESPECIALLY until AFTER you secure the border. THAT WAS THE WHOLE POINT OF THE ARTICLE. It WASN’T about building an actual, physical wall. (It might be a great idea, but somebody’s gotta PAY for the stupid thing, right?) Look, Trump said we’ve got to slow the flow through the border until we know what’s going on. And Cruz is saying we need to increase police patrols and police presence in these neighbourhoods. They’re BOTH getting flack from the bleeding hearts. And they’re both RIGHT. PROFILING isn’t always a bad thing (unless you’re a liberal).

I don’t know that I would normally write an article like this one, except that it will be a handy reference point for future posts when I need to explain my positions on things.

And like I said, in case you missed it, I’m not a liberal. Hope I cleared that up.

Why We’re About to Get an Unprecedented Influx of LGBTQ Illegal Aliens Who Don’t Speak English

Reprinted from NOQ report.

Democrats are clever.  Nobody in my audience wants to hear that but it’s true. They know how to work the system because the Uniparty Swamp has been building it to cater to them for decades.

The latest version of Democrats playing 4D chess comes with the announcement of a bill designed to “protect” LGBT illegal aliens. According to Fox News [emphasis added]:

Dozens of Democrats in the House and Senate introduced legislation this week that would make it harder to hold illegal aliens in custody if they qualify as a “vulnerable person,” such as those who are gay, lesbian or transgender, who don’t speak English, or who meet other definitions of the term under the bill.

The Dignity for Detained Immigrants Act, from Rep. Pramila Jayapal, D-Wash., and Sen. Cory Booker, D-N.J., is aimed at setting minimum standards for detention facilities where thousands of illegal aliens are kept as they await processing. Among other things, it would bar the use of private detention facilities and make sure government-run facilities meet minimum standards as defined by the American Bar Association.

“Our immigration system has allowed for the unjust treatment of immigrants and stripped them of their humanity and due process,” Booker said in a Thursday statement. “We must respect and protect the basic rights of immigrants detained in the United States.”

Under the legislation, the Department of Homeland Security could arrest illegal aliens and either release them on bond or detain them while a decision is made on whether to remove them from the country. The bill sets out new rules on detention that favor aliens.

For example, officials would have to decide within 48 hours whether to detain an alien, and could only detain them after a determination that “the release of an alien will not reasonably ensure the appearance of the alien as required or will endanger the safety” of others. In those cases, DHS “shall impose the least restrictive conditions” for detention, and ensure they get a custody hearing within 72 hours. And in those hearings, “there shall be a presumption that the alien should be released,” the bill said.

But the bill goes further by seeking to exempt several groups of illegal aliens from any detention at all. It creates a “special rule for vulnerable persons and primary caregivers,” and says these aliens “may not be detained” unless DHS can demonstrate that it is “unreasonable or not practicable to place the alien in a community-based supervision program.”

Under the bill, “vulnerable person” is defined as anyone who is under 21 or older than 60, pregnant, or who “identifies as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, or intersex.” Other vulnerable aliens are those who are a victim of or witness to a crime, anyone who has filed a nonfrivolous civil rights claim in court, anyone with a workplace claim, and those with a “serious mental or physical illness or disability.”

Aliens with a credible fear of persecution, “limited English language proficiency,” those experiencing “severe trauma,” and survivors of “torture or gender-based violence” also meet the definition of a “vulnerable person” for which DHS must take extra steps before detaining.

In other words, DHS will only be able to detain illegal aliens who admit to being able to speak English and who do not claim to have any challenges, risks, or abnormalities. So… none of them. Literally 100% of illegal aliens will claim something about themselves that would make them exempt from detention.

The good news is the bill is unlikely to pass in the GOP-controlled House. It may not make it through the Senate since it’s so radical that one or two moderate Democrats may object. But that doesn’t matter as far as the powers-that-be are concerned because they know even the hint that this bill may pass will be enough to prompt migrant caravans this summer with everyone told to say they’re queer and can’t speak English.

The border invasion will continue until Americans finally get sick enough of the Uniparty Swamp to do something about it. Unfortunately, most still don’t realize how deep the swamp really is.

Your Tax Dollars Are Bankrolling the Border Madness

Pride Month starts today and you will see celebrations of it almost everywhere. Schools, businesses, politicians, celebrities, and many other parts of our society will be enthusiastically cheering along. But many of us have seen where this movement is turning and how our children are now the targets for messages and images that are completely inappropriate, and sowing confusion about sex and their bodies. They even encourage kids and impressionable young adults to choose a different gender and radically and permanently alter their bodies if they feel uncomfortable with their biological sex.

But what can parents do to protect our kids from the cultural tidal wave? And can we still expect to raise our kids with Biblical truth and common sense morality in today’s society? Sara welcomes actor, producer, director and evangelist Kirk Cameron, who is also author of the new book “Pride Comes Before the Fall” to discuss all of this and more.

Sara and Kirk discuss how America got so far off course and what will happen if we don’t return to our Judeo-Christian roots. They also cover how the global ESG movement is driving so much of this incessant messaging, and they examine how Christian humility and a servant’s attitude stand in stark contrast to the celebration of pride. Finally, Kirk explains how the path back to sanity in this nation starts in each of our homes, modeling truth in our own lives, and instilling it in our kids.

Texas: Mass Murder suspect was arrested Tuesday evening

The suspect of a deadly mass shooting in Cleveland, Texas, that left five dead including a 9 year old boy, was captured by authorities on Tuesday.

Fransisco Oropesa, 38, was taken into custody by the Border Patrol Tactical Unit within the area of Cleveland, Texas, after the Federal Bureau of Investigation received a tip of his whereabouts. According to reports, the FBI received the tip at approximately 5:15 p.m. and he was arrested at 6:30 p.m.

Oropesa is accused of killing five of his neighbors, execution style, in retaliation to one of the neighbors who had asked him to stop firing his firearm in his yard so that a baby in their house could get some sleep.

In a press conference Tuesday night, Sheriff Greg Capers of San Jacinto County, Texas, said, “Bottom line is we now have this man in custody. He was caught hiding in a closet underneath some laundry.”

Moreover, Oropesa, is an illegal immigrant who had been deported four times, previous to this incident, according to reports.

The victims of the fatal shooting were, Sonia Argentina Guzman, 25, Daniel Enrique Laso Guzman, age 9, Diana Velazquez Alvarado, 21, Julisa Molina Rivera, 31, and Jose Jonathan Casarez, 18.

As previously reported by SaraACarter.com, there were over 250 law enforcement officer from different agencies working together to capture Oropesa.

Special Agent in Charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation Houston Field Office Jimmy Paul, said in a statement, “Thank you to the person who had the courage to call in this tip. We always said it wasn’t a matter of ‘if’ but ‘when’ he would be captured, and we’re glad this evening was that ‘when’ we’ve all been waiting for.” The individual, who called in the tip to the FBI that led to the capture of the cold-blooded killer, will receive an award of $80,000 dollars Sheriff Capers said.

Oropesa is being charged with five counts of murder and is being held with a bond set at $5 million dollars, according to Fox News.

Latinos Will Help Save Our Liberty, Let’s Make Sure They Hear Our Message

Sara is not a domestic terrorist. Are you? Of course, most of us are not, but the federal government is redefining the term to include parents who protest school board decisions or even Catholics who prefer the Latin Mass. Plus, they have no hesitation to invade your privacy and gather as much information on you as possible.

Another, more formal, way that this happens is through the FISA courts, where the government gets a court to approve surveillance based on the supposed evidence already against you. As we’ve seen in recent years, this can be badly abused. So what do we do about it?

Sara is joined by Arizona Rep. Andy Biggs to discuss the erosion of privacy perpetrated by our government and how he is approaching upcoming hearings on the future of the FISA courts. He also warns us about the massive tide of illegal immigration we will see after Title 42 expires next month.

Sara and Rep. Biggs also dissect the left’s decades-long agenda against families and children and whether he has plans to run for the U.S. Senate in 2024.

Five migrants on Terror Watch List arrested in single day crossing into AZ border

Breaking late Thursday night, just hours before Title 42 was set to expire, federal judge Judge T. Kent Wetherell II “blocked the Biden administration from implementing a policy that allows for the release of migrants without court dates – just hours away from the end of the Title 42 public health order” reports Fox News.

Judge T. Kent Wetherell II imposed a two-week restraining order on the Biden administration policy, which would see migrants released on “parole with conditions.”

The parole policy was outlined in a Border Patrol memo this week, which says that migrants can be allowed into the country on parole — a process typically reserved for “urgent humanitarian reasons or significant public benefit” — if Customs and Border Protection (CBP) faces overcrowding. The memo calls the practice “parole with conditions” as migrants are required to make an appointment with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) or request a Notice to Appear by mail.

“For the past 7 days, USBP has averaged over 8,750 encounters per day. This is over double the average daily encounters of 4,284 in May of 2019, the highest month of the 2019 surge. Even with significant personnel along the SWB, a significant detention capacity, and interagency resources supporting the effort, this situation requires urgent action,” the memo stated.

Under a parole release, migrants are rapidly released into the country, do not get an alien registration number and do not receive a court date. Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody had sued after media reports emerged of the planned releases, arguing the policy was “materially identical” to a “Parole + ATD” policy blocked by the same judge in March. Judge Wetherell agreed with that assessment in his order.

Moody, in a statement late Thursday, said the lifting of Title 42 “presents an unprecedented crisis at our nation’s Southwest Border.”

“The Biden administration did absolutely nothing to prepare for that crisis. Then, just yesterday, it issued the Parole with Conditions mass release policy, which is virtually identical to the policy a federal judge already invalidated. These actions demonstrate a striking combination of incompetence and bad faith. I am pleased that a federal court understood the situation and acted appropriately,” she said.

Susan Rice to step down as top Biden domestic policy advisor, sources report

Susan Rice, President Biden’s top domestic policy adviser, is stepping down from her post next month, according to multiple reports.

Rice, charged with the Domestic Policy Council, and a controversial figure in the Biden White House, spent her tenure directing the Biden Administration on national policy issues that have been widely criticized by both the GOP and many independents. The Biden admins immigration policy has been one of those major issues that has plagued the White House over Biden’s tenure.

While Rice has been advising and directing policy under Biden, legislative actions on health care, student loans, policing, and stringent gun control policies have exposed a progressive agenda by one of the most leftist-Democratic administration’s in U.S. history. She was on Biden’s short-list for possible vice presidential candidates and considering how Vice President Kamala Harris is doing, this columnist is certain that many in the Biden Administration would have rather that has been the case.

According to reports from the White House, Rice’s last day will be May 26, as reported by NBC news.

Although Rice worked under Obama and Clinton administrations as an expert on Foreign Policy, she had no experience in domestic policy issues.  She was responsible for the creation of the Domestic Policy Council, a group that brought in policy experts to deal with domestic challenges.

I’m certain that the Biden Administration will pick another extreme progressive to replace her during Biden’s last year of his first term and before the 2024 presidential elections. The question is, why is she ending her tenure now? Is there something in the works for Rice? I sure think so.

We will continue to follow this new developing story. Stay tuned.
