Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) responded to the Seattle Mayor asking for law enforcement help after months of peddling “defund the police.” Now Kennedy said he’s not surprised to see the city flip-flop on Hannity.

“There are some people in this world that just aren’t fit to be part of our society,” Kennedy said. “They are not sick. They are not mixed up. They are not confused. It’s not a question of whether or not their mamma or daddy loved them enough. They are just anti-social. In terms of public safety, they are just bad.”

As a result, law enforcement needs to get involved to protect public safety. “And I thought as a society we had agreed that’s why we need law enforcement,” Kennedy said. “That was a universal truth. Apparently, no longer. Not all, but many of my Democratic colleagues have done an about-face. Now the bad guys are the cops. I hear it every day, the cops are guilty until proven innocent and they are all a bunch of racists, apparently even the African-American police officers. I just don’t get it.”

Meanwhile, President Biden encourages these Democratic mayors. “The president has supported every single one of our major Democratic mayors in every major Democratic city,” Kennedy said. “They not only talked about defunding the police, they did it. What was the result? It was very predictable.”
