Former President Donald Trump is still the face of the Republican party, according to a new poll comparing likely 2024 primary candidates.
Trump led the pack with 48% of voters choosing him as the top Republican. In a distant second was former Vice President Mike Pence with 13%, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis with 8%, and Donald Trump Jr. with 7%. There were several others that fell way below 5%.
The poll was conducted by the Morning Consult.
The poll shows popular Republicans like Nikki Haley, Ted Cruz, Tim Scott, and Marco Rubio not breaking 5% in support.
