Disney removed a greeting to “ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls,” during it’s Independence Day celebration in California and Florida. Now, the greeting will just welcome “dreamers of all ages” in an effort to be more inclusive, say Disney park officials.

While it was only just implemented in the states, a spokesperson told Deadline that the changes will apply to Disney parks worldwide. The Oriental Land Company spokesperson that manages Tokyo Disney told the news site that the alteration is meant to help everyone “feel comfortable in the park.”

The politically correct move, however, was met with a backlash from many on social media.

John Solomon, founder of Just the News responded by calling it a “political correctness boomerang.”

Another Twitter profile that tweets all things Disney to fans of the parks was also unhappy. “Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls forever!” they tweeted.

Then, Businessman Mike Gilbert poked fun at the change. “Oh thank goodness,” Gilbert tweeted. “No longer will they be scarred by the experience.”

Disney used the greeting since its opening in 1955.
