President Biden lashed out a reporter Friday who asked if he’s for defunding the police. He responded to her question with a question: “Are there people in the Republican Party who think we’re sucking the blood out of kids?” It’s a talking point he brought up Thursday during the CNN presidential town hall.

“We are not defunding the police, and have not,” Biden told the reporter.

“And are there people who — in the Democratic Party who want to defund the police?” the reporter asked. It’s a question with an obvious answer. Many Democrat lawmakers have publicly called to not only defund police, but even the Department of Homeland Security.

“Are there people in the Republican Party who think we’re sucking the blood out of kids?” Biden responded.

“I’m not sure,” the reporter said.

On stage for the town hall, Biden was trying to point out the absurdity of QANON conspiracy theorists. “The idea that the Democrats or the Biden is hiding people and sucking the blood of children, no I’m serious, that’s the — Now you may not like me and that’s your right,” Biden said. “This is not who we are.”
