Air Force Reveals An Afghanistan Evac Flight Was Almost Hijacked

The U.S. Air Force revealed that five individuals who boarded an evacuation flight out of Afghanistan’s Hamid Karzai International Airport (HKIA) in August intended to hijack the plane but U.S. forces were able to prevent the situation from happening.

The Air Force said in a statement, “As a steady stream of C-17s entered HKIA, PRTF personnel started tracking military and commercial flights into HKIA. ‘The data they were tracking was pivotal to managing airflow/airspace and requests for additional airlift support based on the numbers they got through the gates,’ [Lt. Col. Brian Desautels] said. On one occasion after they received an intel tip, five people onboard one of the commercial flights intended to hijack the aircraft. ‘Our team worked to get them clear of the NATO ramp, relocated to the north side away from friendly forces, then ultimately onto the south side where the situation was handled,’ he said.”

The Air Force also addressed the ISIS attack on the HKIA that killed 13 U.S. servicemembers.
“The sewage alley near Abbey Gate was packed with over 10,000 people when it was bombed around 6 p.m. local time. The terrorists then engaged with small arms fire.… Eleven Marines, one Navy corpsman and one Soldier were killed in the attack,” the statement said. “Seventeen service members were wounded and received care at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center at Ramstein Air Base, Germany, before being transported to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. One Marine was still in “serious but stable condition,” according to a U.S. Marines spokesperson, as reported Oct. 6.”
“More than a thousand service members attended the ramp ceremony of the 13 KIA at HKIA,” the statement added. “Ramp ceremonies have historically never been shown before, but this one was mistakenly uploaded and then removed on the Defense Visual Information Distribution Service. On social media, veterans and servicemembers shared the photos and memories of their own experiences at ramp ceremonies, as the fall of Afghanistan has been more emotional for many who have served there.”

Andrew Cuomo Charged With ‘Sex Crime’ In New York

On Thursday, disgraced former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo was charged with a “sex crime,” specifically the Class A misdemeanor of “forcible touching.”

The misdemeanor criminal complaint alleges that Cuomo “did intentionally, and for no legitimate purpose, forcibly place his hand under the blouse shirt of the victim…and onto her intimate body part…specifically, the victims [sic] left breast for the purposes of degrading and satisfying his sexual desire.”
“The incident allegedly took place on the afternoon of Dec. 7 on the second floor of the Executive Mansion, the governor’s official residence,” the New York Post noted. “The name of the alleged victim was redacted from the complaint but the allegations line up with those made by former Cuomo aide Brittany Commisso, 33.”

“The complaint charges Cuomo with forcible touching, which carries a maximum sentence of one year in jail,” the New York Post added. “The alleged evidence against him includes a text message from Cuomo’s cell phone, state police aviation records for Dec. 7 and news reports of a press conference that day, state police Blackberry PIN messages, swipe card records from the state Capitol, and Commisso’s testimony to the Attorney General’s Office.”
In August, Cuomo resigned after an independent investigation found he had “sexually harassed a number of current and former New York State employees.”

The scandal began in December when the first of 11 women accused Cuomo of sexual misconduct. The women, who were mostly employees of his, said Cuomo engaged in sexually aggressive behavior including non-consensual kissing, groping, inappropriate invitations to play strip poker and comments about their sex lives.
The independent investigation found that “the Governor sexually harassed a number of current and former New York State employees by, among other things, engaging in unwelcome and nonconsensual touching, as well as making numerous offensive comments of a suggestive and sexual nature that created a hostile work environment for women.”

Taiwan President Confirms US Troops Are In The Country To Help Protect Against China

During a CNN interview on Wednesday, Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen confirmed that U.S. troops were on the ground in Taiwan to assist in strengthening the country’s defenses as the threat from China is “increasing every day.”

Tsai told CNN’s Will Ripley that the situation has gone south in recent years as “China’s plan towards the region” has become “very different.”
“That plan includes war threats over Taiwan, clashes with Japan and the East China Sea and militarizing manmade islands in the South China Sea, posing a direct challenge to seven decades of U.S. military supremacy in the Indo-Pacific,” Ripley said. “In response, the U.S. ramped up arms sales to Taiwan, selling the island $5 billion in weapons last year. President Tsai confirms exclusively to CNN, U.S. support goes beyond selling weapons. Does that support include sending some U.S. service members to help train Taiwanese troops?”

“Well, yes,” Tsai responded. “We have a wide range of cooperation with the U.S., aiming at increasing our defense capability.”
Later in the interview, Ripley asked, “Do you have faith that the United States would defend Taiwan if the Mainland were to try to move on Taiwan?”

“I do have faith, and given the long-term relationship that we have the U.S. and also the support the people of the U.S., as well as the Congress, and the administration has been very helpful,” Tsai said, later adding that Taiwan needs to “expedite our military reform so that we have the ability to defend ourselves. And given the size of Taiwan compared to the size of [China], developing asymmetric capability is the key for us.”
Tsai’s comments come a few weeks after China sent over 150 military planes into Taiwanese air space, the largest incursion ever by the Communist country.
“The defense of Taiwan is in our own hands, and we are absolutely committed to that,” Taiwan Foreign Minister Joseph Wu told ABC Australia in response to China’s aggression.
“If China is going to launch a war against Taiwan we will fight to the end, and that is our commitment. I’m sure that if China is going to launch an attack against Taiwan, I think they are going to suffer tremendously as well.”

Sara Carter presses McAuliffe supporters on candidate’s education policies

I don’t think we needed a poll from CNBC to affirm what many of us already know: President Joe Biden is losing whatever support he once previously had as the country takes a turn for the worst on almost every major issue.

The poll released Thursday shows Biden’s approval rating at a dismal 41 %, while his disapproval rating has soared to 52 %, according to CNBC’s all American Economic Survey.  According to the report “inflation now ties with the coronavirus as the biggest concern for Americans, up 16 points from the prior survey.”
Just spend time in any grocery store and take a moment to talk to strangers they won’t hesitate to discuss how worried they are about the economy and soaring prices. As for his handling of the pandemic, well that’s taking a dive as well.

TRENDINGGovernors demand Biden take action on the border
“Fifty percent now approve of his Covid-19 handling, compared to 53% in July, and 45% disapprove, compared to just 38%,” according to the report.
It isn’t surprising because Americans  are feeling it directly in their pocket books. Remember folks, we’re only 8 months into this presidency. Imagine what it will be like come 2022 mid-term elections and then thankfully, hopefully a new president in 2024.

But between now and then that’s a long time for things to go drastically wrong.
This administration is filled with incompetent leftist ideological bureaucrats that are figuratively and literally disconnected from the American public. It’s a shame what they have done to our nation is so little time.
This survey may have focused on economics but there’s a lot more to what’s happening with President Biden. First and foremost, he appears to have some serious cognitive issues and rarely makes any sense when he surfaces from the White House. Secondly, his administration forgot what the role of a president should be and that is the national security of the United States. That isn’t happening.
Just look at the border. I’m there almost every week and it’s a complete nightmare. It’s wide open and our law enforcement officials have become little more than glorified baby sitters in some instances and in others they have been left at the mercy of a federal government that doesn’t appear to care about their health or safety.
It’s an overall tragedy and again, it leaves me wondering what our nation will be like in 2024 when we finally get a chance to put someone else in office.

Governor DeSantis Offers $5k Bonus to Law Enforcement Willing to Relocate to Florida, Vaccinated or Not

Appearing on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures” with host Maria Bartiromo, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced he plans to offer $5,000 signing bonuses to any law enforcement officers who relocate to Florida.

The proposal comes as law enforcement personnel across the country are fighting back against vaccine mandates imposed by liberal leadership. DeSantis says his offer is good for all officers, vaccinated or unvaccinated.
“We’re actually actively working to recruit out-of-state law enforcement. We do have needs in our police and our sheriff’s departments. So, in the next legislative session, I’m going to hopefully sign legislation that gives a $5,000 bonus to any out-of-state law enforcement that relocates in Florida” said DeSantis.
“NYPD [New York], Minneapolis, Seattle, if you’re not being treated well, we will treat you better here. You can fill important needs for us, and we will compensate you as a result” he added. “Nobody should lose their job based off these injections. It’s a choice you can make, but we want to make sure we’re protecting your jobs and your livelihood.”

DeSantis confirmed his position on Monday saying, “we are looking to capitalize off a lot of communities across our country who have turned their back on law enforcement, who aren’t providing them the support.”

Last week DeSantis made headlines after he posted a graphic to his Twitter account playing off the “Don’t Tread On Me” Gadsden flag, with an alligator instead of a timber rattlesnake, and the words “DON’T TREAD ON FLORIDA.” DeSantis’ signature was underneath the phrase.
Over a third of Chicago’s roughly 13,000-member police force has defied the vaccine mandates by not reporting their vaccination status in the government’s database. The Massachusetts state’s police union estimated at least 150 officers will resign over the mandate. The New York City Police Benevolent Association has filed a lawsuit due to the mandates.
Patrick Yoes, president of the National Fraternal Order of Police wrote in a letter to officers, “as an organization that prides itself on protecting the freedoms afforded to us by the U.S. Constitution, we are vehemently opposed to any suggestion of a vaccine mandate from any organization, employer or government agency. “

Psaki On Biden Violating Mask Requirements: We Shouldn’t Focus On President Violating Policy

During Monday’s press briefing, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki discussed a recent video of President Biden violating Washington D.C. mask requirements after he left a restaurant on Saturday, saying that we should not focus on “moments in time” when the President violates “overarching policy.”

The Washingtonian reported, “Video and photos from fellow customers show Biden maskless as he exited the restaurant just before 8 PM, a move that drew criticism from right-wing personalities on Twitter. DC still requires all indoor diners to wear a mask unless they are actively eating and drinking.”

Washington, D.C.’s, mask mandate states that “everyone (including fully vaccinated people) must wear masks in indoor public settings,” including “restaurants and bars (when not eating or drinking).”
Fox News reporter Peter Doocy asked Psaki why the Bidens refused to follow the policy they have been promoting, saying, “There is a mask requirement inside D.C. restaurants, yet President Biden and the First Lady were not wearing masks while walking around a D.C. restaurant on Saturday. Why?”
“Well, I think what you’re referring to is a photo of them walking out of a restaurant after they, they had eaten, masks in hand where they had not yet put them back on yet,” Psaki responded.

“So I would say, of course, there are moments when we all don’t put masks back on as quickly as we should,” she continued. “But I don’t think we should lose, miss, lose the forest through the trees here and that our objective here is to get more people vaccinated. Make sure that schools and companies around the country can put in place requirements to save more lives and keep people safer, and you know, not overly focused on moments in time that don’t reflect overarching policy.”
“It was not just exiting the restaurant, though,” Doocy noted. “He was walking through the restaurant with no mask on, there is a carve-out for people under two or people who are actively eating or drinking. So I’m just curious why President was doing this.”
“I think I just addressed it, Peter,” Psaki said.
